what if i am appearing in 2010 my results come out on last week may like 27th may…and we get our mark sheet by post in like june end! how do i apply for dasa or spdc as they want certificates

also if we fill spdc form does it mean we register for dasa automatically or do we need to do that separately

    • Dear Tarun,
      1) For SPDC, the application alongwith all docs need to be submitted by 10 June per following clause:
“Applicants/candidates who have passed the qualifying examination or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2010 can also apply, if they are otherwise eligible. Such candidates will, however, be admitted only if they are able to produce all the required testimonials to EdCIL(India) Limited, latest by 10th June, 2010.”
The merit list would be published on 30 June. Keeping this in background, I highly doubt if your application would be considered if you submit the marksheet by June-end when the result would already be very close to declaration. Please contact EdCIL irrespective of my opinion.
      2) DASA and SPDC are two separate scheme. The SPDC guideline that are published does not say anything about admissions to NITs (i.e dasa) so consider it a separate subject.

    dear sir,

i want admission to an NIT(dasa) …and also want to apply for scholarship (financial aid)…is there a scholarship scheme under DASA …not SPDC ??

    • Dear Nick,
Under DASA scheme, there is no scholarship scheme. Infact, the scheme is about taking more tuition fee than normal – not about providing any aid.
